Sprouted Buckwheat Flour, Organic, Rude Health (500g)

Buckwheat’s a gluten free pseudo-grain, and interestingly, closer related to rhubarb than wheat. Rude Health sprouts the grain to release nutrients as the kernel’s the most nutritious part. Perfect for making pancakes and breads with a nutty tang.

We're glad to say that Rude Health believe in only using fruit and grains that have been farmed in ways that encourage biodiversity and don't harm the environment. So as not to harm our health either, they make their flours without adding unnecessary additives such as artificial preservatives and colours. Healthy all round then.

We sprout the grain so it comes to life and releases its vital nutrients Sprouted Raw Organic Whole grain Stone ground Gluten-free Clean ingredients No refined sugars No artificial anythings Non GM Vegetarian Society approved Kosher - KLBD
Why sprout? What's more nourishing than a grain? A grain that's been sprouted. Dormant food An unsprouted grain is dormant, waiting for the right time to germinate. Its nutrients are locked up and well protected, making dormant grains harder to digest. Sprouting When soaked in water, the grain wakes up and starts to sprout. Enzyme activity breaks down growth inhibitors, transforming and multiplying nutrients into their more easily digestible forms. Preserving the nourishment The sprouted grain is slow dried to preserve its valuable nutrients. Then it's stone ground, creating this raw, wholegrain, sprouted flour, ready to use. Buckwheat Buckwheat isn't wheat, it isn't even a grain. It's a pseudo-grain more closely related to rhubarb than wheat, and it's gluten free. Buckwheat creates perfect pancakes, blinis and breads with a nutty tang that's made it a hit with the hippest bakers.
Rude Health Eat right, stay brilliant. At Rude Health, we only use the kind of ingredients you'd have in your own kitchen - nothing artificial, nothing refined. We source our ingredients from fields, orchards and vines - not laboratories. We think food should be made out of food - not thickeners, preservatives, colourings, flavourings and other additives. The proof is in the taste, try it for your self. When you've got food this good inside you, you'll be up for anything.
