Packaging & Sustainability
The sustainability of all our packaging we use is as important to us both as the products we carefully source. We are committed to reducing our footprint and making our processes and materials as sustainable as possible.
We reuse as many cardboard boxes as we can, sending online orders out in boxes that have been used to deliver and store stock. Aside from this, we reuse fully biodegradable packing peanuts, bubble wrap, tissue paper and anything else used by our suppliers to protect your products in transit.
To keep your new purchases safe during transit, we use all reused packing materials secured with our biodegradable kraft paper sustainable packing tape.
If you box or bag has been stamped, we have used a vegan stamp especially made for us in Dorset and printed using vegetable based ink.
During Covid-19 outbreak, we have been using more packaging and creating more waste than we would like. This has been unavoidable as we take extra care and precaution. We have introduced recyclable and reusable brown paper bags into circulation for our food product home delivery service as well as biodegradable plant based cellulose bags. Our vegetable box service has continued, with returned boxes sitting for 5 days minimum prior to reuse.
We take a zero waste approach in all aspects of our processes, and we continue to strive towards our target of sending zero waste to landfill. We continuously review our suppliers and work with them to improve their packaging.
