About the Employer
SW Coast Refills is passionate about reducing single use packaging. We are Weymouth’s Zero Waste Shop and are looking for a proactive retail supervisor to lead our friendly small team. We have just expanded our store to a larger premises and are looking to take on a confident and enthusiastic person to help in the shop, leading by example, problem solving, supporting our customers and staff team and actively promoting the ethos of the shop to drive its ongoing success.
Job Duties
Store Assistant required for 2/3 Saturdays a month & 1 additional weekday shift (flexible) plus holiday cover.
Assist the Retail Manager / Assistant Manager in:
Front of house customer service including till work and cash handling
Picking, packing and weighing customer orders for home delivery and click and collect
Assembly of Weekly Vegetable Boxes
Pricing of new products, adding to till system, label writing
Stock Rotation - effectively rotating stock
Social Media - creating engaging content for Facebook and Instagram including taking photos of products
Visual merchandising incl. window displays, goods presentation, seasonal displays
Actively Upsell and Cross-sell to maximise shop income
Ensure Food Hygiene Standards are maintained
Ensure Health and Safety is adhered to in the workplace
Calculating weights of products sold and using the till system to process transactions
Cleaning and Tidying the shop and store areas, staff facilities and kitchen
Stock replenishment - refilling scoop bins, jars and food dispensers
Stock Taking - counting and recording stock
Receiving and processing deliveries
About You
You will have a keen interest in the environment and a passion for promoting zero waste living.
You will be physically fit - able to lift heavy weights (up to 20Kg).
You will be good at timekeeping and be presentable for your shifts.
You will have good numeracy skills - you will be accurate using a calculator and doing basic sums every day.
You will be confident in talking to people, this is REALLY important! You will be answering questions and delivering good customer service with a smile.
You will be able to effectively communicate in the English language, both written and orally.
You will be a “people person” and be able to listen, relate and advise.
