How do I remove the lid of the Square Meal Prep Box Large?
Simply pull the valve up (until it stops and meets resistance, not fully off), and lift the lid by lifting at the corners. If the box contains liquids, be careful, as they may spill.
Does this product leak?
This Square Meal Prep Box Large is 100% leak proof if used correctly. The box must be locked and sealed properly. To ensure this you simply need to check the edges of the base and silicone seal on the lid are dry and clean. Push the lid down firmly, ensuring it’s completely shut on all sides and then shut the valve. You MUST ensure all hot foods are cool before shutting the lid, as this may cause the box to leak.
Can the Meal Prep Box Large go in the microwave?
Yes, you can use in the microwave. Microwave safe up to 1000W. These steel boxes are safe to use in the microwave, thanks to the high-quality stainless steel and smooth, rounded design. Ensure you do not use in older 915 Mhz microwaves. The box may become hot, so use oven gloves or a tea towel when removing it. Do not use the box in the microwave when empty. Do not place any cutlery, foil, or metal surfaces in the microwave with the box. Avoid heating extreme temperature foods like popcorn or sugar, as these can cause burn marks. Heat for a maximum of 2 minutes at a time, stirring and repeating if necessary. The lid lock must be open when microwaving to allow steam to escape.
Can the Stainless Steel Box Large be used in the oven?
Yes, you can place the base/slider divider in the oven, however, because you cannot remove the silicone seal from the lid, the lid must not go in the oven. Please be aware that using it in the oven may cause the box to become discoloured.
Can the Square Meal Prep Box Large be used in the freezer?
You can use this box in the freezer, but please be aware liquids expand when frozen so be careful not to overfill.
Can the Square Meal Prep Box Large go in the dishwasher?
You should only wash the base in the dishwasher. However DO NOT USE cleaners containing chlorine or bleach, abrasive cloths or scrubbers on the product as the finish will dull.
