WHY SILICONE?
Silicone will never break down into microplastics which makes it more ocean friendly than other plastics. It is also really inert; so it won't leach anything harmful into your food and behaves very well and hot & cold temperatures. Aside from that, it really is the only thing that can make your lunch box leak proof! It is possible for silicone to be recycled but it has to go to the right place.
So in the unlikely event that you ever need an Elephant Box silicone product recycling just send it back to Elephant Box or return it to us & we'll make sure that it happens.
