The fabric used is genuine sari material sourced from off-cuts, remnants and surplus stocks from the textile and clothing industries. Designs and colours are assorted.

The producer is small scale and is part of a decentralised network of organisations who have combined competencies to develop initiatives for empowerment of artisan communities. They work with nearly 100 groups of disadvantaged women and artisans from rural and semi-urban pockets of India. Their collective mission is to strengthen, support, and expand market opportunities for artisans, while preventing marginalisation and exploitation.
