There’s nothing quite like getting lost in a great book, so why not make reading part of your 2025 story? 

Like many, I sleep beside an aspirational book-stack. It’s actually a tower-like shrine to ‘one day, when I have a few hours spare’. 

This year, though, like everyone who once considered themselves an avid reader, I am planning to make some headway!

To everyone who can remember the sheer delight of curling up with a good book, this is mine and our staff’s pick of the bunch for 2025.

Our favourite books, or in other words, the books there is a sizeable chance we will shove into your arms immediately upon entry in the bookshop because we just love them so much and want to spread the literary gospel.
