About Textured Vegetable Protein - Savoury Mince (TVP)

Textured Vegetable Protein mince (or TVP for short) is a wonderful vegetarian substitute for making chili con carne, spaghetti bolognese, and any other meals that would normally use the traditional very fatty, heavy and carcinogenic beef or pork mince meat. Use it to make vegetarian meatballs, stews, stuffing, and lots of other savoury recipes. Think outside the box and attempt to make your own vegan sausages and burgers for barbeque foods that everyone will love - not just the non-meat eaters!

TVP mince is high in protein, naturally low in fat, versatile meat substitute. It is simple to prepare - just follow our tips below!

Cooking Instructions
1. Soak for 10-15 minutes until the mince is rehydrated before adding to dish. 2. For dishes with more liquid (bolognese, curries etc), there is no need to pre-soak. The mince will rehydrate as it cooks.
